I believe our lives our shaped by the little things we do, that add up to and ultimately create big changes. The time we begin our day, the books we read, the people we associate with all influence the direction we take. It can be other things as well: starting an exercise program, changing your daily diet, going back and forth to work by a different route. All these small actions contribute to bigger actions that guide and shape our lives.
If you are not receiving the results you desire or are having trouble getting a project off the ground, ask yourself what small actions or changes can you make to begin your momentum. It may be attending a seminar or workshop, reading a book on the subject or making contact with someone who has been in your shoes.
We are a society that likes immediate gratification, and it’s not that we are not capable of attaining quick results. It seems more that we have to stretch outside our comfort limits a little at a time. But think about it, each step we take brings us that much closer to what we want.
A business can be up and running in 90 days or less, if you spend each day working on your goal. A book can be written in months if you spend an hour or so writing 4 pages per day of 250 words; you can lose 20 pounds in less than 5 months if you lose only 1 pound per week. A lot can be accomplished by beginning with small actions.
